Haran is a multidisciplinary project created by Nasim Lopez-Palacios (Tenerife), musician and composer; Pau Torres (Ibiza), musician; and Oihane Amurrio (Bilbao), visual artist.
The project arises when the three creators meet for the first time in 2017 in a baserri (typical basque houses) in a small town in Navarra, creating an artistic residency in which the three of them shared their different disciplines and combine them in a performance concept of free improvisation and audiovisual arts experimentation.
The pieces created in Haran combine the use of acoustic instruments (saxophones, drums and other percussion) with electronic instruments (synthesizers, samplers, music softwares ...); and visual interactions, created live in each performance. Its guiding language is free improvisation: through its vehicle of expression, always from the presence in the group, its listening and visualization.
